Supplier Quality Engineer

If you are looking for an exciting Supplier Quality Engineer contract, working for a leading medical device client, with a varied working environment, then this is the job for you.


**You will be 2 days onsite in Galway (county), 1 day on site in Bray and 2 days WFH**


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • Strong Validation experience working on part acceptance and process qualification.
  • Provide technical support on injection moulding processes (tooling, materials, cycle times, defects)
  • Manage and develop supplier quality performance for injection moulded components.
  • Conduct supplier audits (process, system, and product) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure suppliers meet material and specification requirements (e.g., resins, additives, tolerances).
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by validating supplier capability and process readiness.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on design for manufacturability (DFM) improvements.
  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.


Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR
  • Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Experience working with injection moulding processes, including tooling, materials (thermoplastics), and process optimisation.
  • Proven track record in supplier quality management, including audits, performance monitoring, and supplier development.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and validating supplier process capability.
