OBJECTIVES OF POSITION: 
  • Responsible for manufacturing company products at optimum cost, quality, delivery in accordance with defined schedule
  • Responsible for manufacturing products at optimum quality, delivery, cost and customer satisfaction in accordance with defined schedule
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Leading a group of Production Leads, Team Leaders and Production Operators according to established procedures and current world class manufacturing practices.
  • Responsible for manufacturing products at optimum cost, quality, customer satisfaction and delivery in accordance with defined schedule.
  • Establish standards of performance and monitor same against pre-determined standards.
  • Production planning, Product Line Lay out and staffing levels for proper operation.
  • Provide positive leadership by interpreting company policy and management directives for Production Personnel.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to management as directed by ongoing business needs.
  • Establish and maintain high level of employee morale.
  • Ensure continuous reduction in absenteeism and attrition levels.
  • Maintain sound disciplinary procedures in line with Company requirements.
  • Supervise compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and Security Procedures.
  • Housekeeping.
  • Continuous improvement in best practice manufacturing.
  • Manpower Planning.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Operatives are trained to optimum standards.
  • Perform regular appraisals of all Production employees in compliance with company procedure and manage under performers.
  • Training of Production Team Leaders in team and continuous improvement skills.
  • Quality: Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations.

  • Line Yields - By product line, Actual v's Target
  • Quality - In house first time acceptance, customer complaints
  • Adherence to Process and Method Instruction, Regular Process Audit
  • Success in Housekeeping Audits
  • Absenteeism and Attrition reduction
  • Absence of conflict
 
 ESSENTIAL:   
  •  8+ years experience in the supervision of large number of personnel, preferably in a world class manufacturing environment
  • Third Level Qualification is desired
