Overview
Our Client's Cork based facility is FDA registered and certified to ISO for the manufacture of high-quality PCBAs, subassemblies and complete devices up to and including Class III medical devices. The sites core specialization is manufacturing automation. They provide services for the entire product lifecycle from New Product Introduction (NPI), prototyping and process validation to complex volume manufacturing & test, shipping and repair. They create a state-of-the-art environment for manufacturing medical and other high-quality devices.

Role Overview:
- Supervise and lead a Team of Engineers and Technicians as required.
- Develop key Manufacturing Engineering Procedures and Processes
- Develop the Technical Expertise of the Team
- Drive Operational Excellence through Engineering Activities within the Team.
- Achieve Output and Yield targets for assigned Production Lines
- Manage, Mentor and Develop technical resources
- Monitor Machine Performance in real time to maximize production output and deliver demand and yield targets
- Develop , drive and support Projects as required
- Identify areas for Process Improvement
- Support and lead new product builds as required.
- Procedure and system updates Implementation for designated products/lines.
- Provide Design for Manufacture (DFM) input on New Product Developments as required
- Liaise with Equipment Suppliers and perform Machine Acceptance Tests
- Liaise with other Departments on Machine / Process Operation, Safety and Environment
- Attend Customer Visits and present on Performance and Process Improvements
- Produce and manage Training Plan for the Team
- Produce capacity plans for products through manufacturing process
- NFQ Level 8 in Engineering or lower level degree with suitable experience
- 5+ years experience in a similar Engineering Role in a Production Environment.
- Excellent equipment knowledge
- A compliance mindset and a high level of attention to detail
- Good communication and influencing skills
